The statistic of low C-suite participation by women used to bother me a whole lot more than it does now. I know for myself, I made choices in both corporate and entrepreneurial endeavors that enabled me to make time for what was important in my life. And it has not always been breaking glass ceilings and spending time away from my family who needed me. I think a lot of women are blazing their own trails, not sacrificing, but building a life they love. Yes, let's continue the discussion that helps to remove barriers for those who do want to pursue the corner office, but let's also recognized that women "are doing it for themselves"...is that a song?
